After CoS, it is KEDE that has spoken: Water privatizations now in “coma”
Any governmental attempt to privatize water in our country enters a phase of  political  “coma”  after the unanimous announcement of  KEDE which takes a stand against the privatization of EYATH. It would be best for the government to declare publicly that it will abandon this dead-end and highly unpopular policy, so that we may all move forward,  since its “works and days” call us to defend also other common goods, such as our sea shores.

Unanimously, the Board of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) adopted and upheld the decision of Region of Central Macedonia against the privatization of EYATH.

Also, unanimously, the Board adopted the results of the referendum held in the municipalities of the region and stresses that water is a public social good and therefore asks that the responsibility of management is passed on to the municipalities.
